Operator Training
In this increasingly safety conscious age, proper training for the workforce becomes a priority. E.U. directives and UK legislation require that operators are qualified to use access platforms, with training provided by a properly accredited organisation.
HIRE! FREEMAN together with Shropshire County Trainers offer Operator Training Courses to the
latest I.P.A.F. (International Powered Access Federation) standards, the most respected organisation in this sector internationally.
IPAF categories for platform operator courses offered:
1a STATIC VERTICAL (vertical mast with outriggers)
1b STATIC BOOM (trailer or vehicle mounted with outriggers)
3a MOBILE VERTICAL (scissor lift or vertical mast)
3b MOBILE BOOM (self propelled boom)
2 SPECIALS (special purpose built machines)
Plus MEWPS for managers, harness use and inspection courses
Where
Courses are run at our Halesfield premises, where we have a dedicated classroom for the theory part of the courses, plus plenty of yard area for the practical operating of the machines. Alternatively you can arrange with us for specific training on your own platform at your site.
Costs
£230.00+VAT per trainee for two category types. This covers registration and certification for the I.P.A.F. qualification, which lasts for 5 years. The successful trainee receives an I.D. card with photo, plus the machine type classifications that they have been trained to operate. Also included is an I.P.A.F. operators’ safety guide for mobile elevating platforms and an operators’ log book.
Well trained, confident workers result in saved costs and downtime on the job, as they will know how to get the best use from the platform for your application.
